Nov 7, 2012.
Today was a big day.
In the US, President Obama won the election for his second term.
Mr Govinda Prasad Mainali, who spent 15 years of his life in a Japanese prison for a crime he did not commit, finally won his freedom and innocence.
Congratulations !
And today, I transferred JPY 36,111 collected during the second round of Help Nepal Network (HeNN) fund collection. A total of NRS 37,726 has been deposited in HeNN’s bank account.
This amount may not solve enormous-scale problems like global warming, energy crisis, and unemployment that Mr Obama and the likes are undertaking. Nor it will fix corrupt systems that have victimized people like Mr Mainali. It is, however, enough to bring smiles to many faces in Nepal – especially children. Every contribution makes a difference.
Thanks to those who contributed. And thanks to HeNN for promising to deliver to the needy!
